How to search for an artist    [ back to top ]

You can search for an artist from any page on the MusicHawk website by simply typing in the name of the artist you want and clicking the “GO!” button. On downstream pages the “Find an Artist” search box is in the grey area at the top of the page.

If your search returns more than 1 result then you will need to click on the artist name link which matches what you are looking for. If we do not have the artist you are looking for then we humbly ask that you help us out by adding the artist by clicking on the “go to Add Artist form” button at the bottom of the search results page. It takes to two make it out of sight!

How to register and become a member     [ back to top ]

1. Click on any of the “Sign Up” links or buttons throughout the MusicHawk website
2. Fill out the web form and remember all fields with an “*” are required fields
3. Next, you will immediately receive an email that has a verification link. Click on the verification link to complete your registration and it will take you back to the MusicHawk website to login.

NOTE: If you do not receive a verification email from MusicHawk make sure that the email was not caught by your spam filter. If it was caught by your spam filter then you will need to re-categorize the email as “not spam”.
4. Login to your account and you will automatically be taken to your My Stage
5. To get the most out of your experience, we recommend that you start by doing the following:
• Add your own photo
• Add 5 or more of your favorite artist to your “My Artist”
• Invite 6 or more of your friends to become MusicHawk members

1. You can use the login box on the home page or click the “Login” link in the upper right hand corner of the MusicHawk website.
2. Type in the email address and the password you have selected during registration and click the “Submit” button.

How to retrieve your password     [ back to top ]

1. Enter the email address that you used during registration and your password will immediately be sent to your inbox.

NOTE: If you do not receive a verification email from MusicHawk make sure that the email was not caught by your spam filter. If it was caught by your spam filter then you will need to re-categorize the email as “not spam”.

How to change your password     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Profile” link in the left hand column, below the picture.
3. On the Edit Profile page type in your new password in the “Password” field and the “Confirm Password” field. Make sure to use the same password in both fields.
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your new password.

How to change your email address     [ back to top ]

Keep in mind, once you change your email address you will no longer be able to use the previous email address for this account or with a new account.
1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Profile” link in the left hand column, below the picture.
3. On the Edit Profile page type in your new password “Password” field.
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your email address.

How to change your picture     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Picture” link in the left hand column, below the picture icon.
3. On the Edit Picture page click the browse button to find the picture you want to upload on your hard drive.
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your picture.

How to add artist     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Find the MusicHawk Artist Page for the artist you want to add by using the “Find an Artist” search box. Once you have found the Artist Page then click the “Add to My Artist” button.
3. Click on the “My Stage” link in the upper right hand corner of the MusicHawk website and it will take you back to your My Stage.
4. You will now see a link to the Artist Page and an icon for the artist in your My Artist.

How to control the order of your artist     [ back to top ]

We encourage you to add as many artist as you would like to your My Artist. We ask that you rank and actively maintain your top 5 artist and if you want to rank your top 25/50/100 artist it will only make your MusicHawk experience better.
1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Go the My Artist box in the center column and click the “Edit” link.
3. Use the up/down arrows to rank your artist to your liking.

How to delete an artist from My Artist     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Go to the My Artist box in the center column and click the “Edit” link.
3. Click the “x” button next to the artist you want to delete.

How to invite friends     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Go to the My Friends box in the center column and click the “Invite Friends” button.
3. On the Invite Friends page enter 1 email address for each friend you would like to invite.
4. Once your friend has accepted your invitation they will show up in your list of friends with a link to their My Stage.

How to control the order of your friends    [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Go the My Friends box in the center column and click the “Edit” link.
3. Use the up/down arrows to sort your friends to your liking.

How to change your public description     [ back to top ]

Keep in mind, your public description will be viewable on the public version of your My Stage
1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Profile” link in the left hand column, below the picture.
3. On the Edit Profile page type in your new description in the “Public Description” field.
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your new Public Description.

How to update your contact information     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Profile” link in the left hand column, below the picture.
3. On the Edit Profile page change any of the contact information fields you would like (City, State/Province, Country).
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your changes.

How to update your email subscription preferences     [ back to top ]

1. Login with your existing email address and password. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your My Stage.
2. Click the “Edit Profile” link in the left hand column, below the picture.
3. On the Edit Profile page, use your cursor to place a “check mark” in each box for the emails you would like to subscribe to and “uncheck” the box if you would like to opt-out.
4. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your changes.
